is a quick & simple way to calibrate your monitor approximately; if
you have Adobe Gamma on your computer you should use that instead. 1. DO THIS IN A DARKENED ROOM. Do not have daylight, fluro light etc. shining on or near your monitor. 2. Let you monitor warm up for an hour. 3. Look at the greyscale below. It has 10 steps from pure Black at far left to pure White at far Right. Your aim is to adjust your monitor so you can see ALL the steps. In addition, this scale is grey only; it contains no colour, so you should not see any colour cast. If you do, see if your monitor or video card software has colour adjustment and try to eliminate any colour cast present. |
